Hunter Holiday Cottages in the rural Heart of Midlothian are very close to Edinburgh; just 10 miles south of the city centre. The self catering cottages are set within rolling countryside on a farm. Woodlands and fields border the spacious gardens making the cottages a perfect countryside retreat.

Calmly classical late-Georgian Warriston Crescent is one of Edinburgh’s most sought after residential streets, just round the corner from the wonderful Royal Botanic Garden and Arboretum. It’s a 15 minute walk to Princes Street and regular buses take just 5 minutes, though in fact you can walk pretty much everywhere in Edinburgh from here. You have your own entrance down original stone steps, and the warmly welcoming owners, Stephen and Suzanne Coupe, live in the house above. The apartment is beautifully decorated and looked after, and guests all remark on how comfortable and cosy it is. In the sitting area, the original Georgian cast iron range has been cleverly brought into the 21st century with a concealed gas flame in its grate. There’s a swivel-mounted flat screen digital television with radio and DVD/CD, and free wireless internet access. The bedroom has a queen size bed with crisp luxurious linen. The shower-room has a shower, wc and basin with Molton Brown soaps and shampoos. Guests at Warriston Crescent will find all the items for a Scottish/Continental breakfast provided in the kitchenette: This apartment is a romantic and cosy hideaway for two.
