Known for its marble staircase, main hall and glass work, this 1873 mansion was bought by The Paignton Council in 1946 to be used as a Civic Centre. The mansion was built in 1874 by Isaac Merritt Singer, founder of the sewing-machine empire.

Built in 1699 and opened in 1700 this Grade I listed building is one of the finest surviving meeting houses in the country. It is an example of a purpose built timber framed meeting house.
